Meet the Logson Team

David Richardson

David Richardson

CEO Logson Group

David graduated in engineering from Sheffield Hallam University. He has over 25 years’ experience in the packaging industry having worked in Sales, IT, Project Management, Operations Management, General Management and Sector Director roles within DS Smith Packaging. Most recently David was the UK&I Group Managing Director for VPK Packaging.

David joined Logson Group in September 2022 . David works closely with the rest of the team to nurture the agile, decentralised, autonomous culture that our customers have valued so highly whilst developing the business for the future.

Dan McConnell

Dan McConnell

Group Financial Director

A Chartered Management Accountant, Dan joined Logson Group in September 2021 as Financial Director for Board24 and Cases24.

Dan began his career in the corrugated packaging industry, straight from university, after graduating from Nottingham Trent with a degree in Economics. He brings over 15 years’ experience across sheet feeding and the sheet plant sector.

Dan helps to shape the strategic direction of the business and continue the development of the group by seeking opportunities for future growth, optimising performance and helping to influence strategic decisions.

He assumed his new role as Logson Group Financial Director in summer 2024.

Stacey Austin

Stacey Austin

Joint Regional Managing Director of Boxes and Packaging (UK)

Stacey Austin is an experienced corrugated packaging professional and leader.

Calm, determined and detail driven, he began his career with Doncaster Packaging in 1991 as a trainee sample maker and designer.

In his early career, he gained experience in most roles and departments within the business and his aptitude and knowledge was recognised when he secured his first directors’ role at the age of 26.

He became Managing Director of Boxes and Packaging (Doncaster) five years later.

Latterly, he also held a regional role within B&P (UK) and took on the role as Managing Director of Kbins when it was acquired in 2024.

From January 2026 Stacey is Regional Managing Director for Boxes and Packaging, Merseyside, Manchester and Doncaster, Red Rose Packaging and Kbins.

Peter Gosling

Peter Gosling

Joint Regional Managing Director of Boxes and Packaging (UK)

Peter Gosling assumes the role of Regional Managing Director for Boxes and Packaging Southern Region comprising our Birmingham, Bristol, Oxford and Swindon sites from January 2026.

He was Managing Director of the Birmingham site for 7 years and in that time has been pivotal in establishing a strong and successful team and business whilst gaining additional senior leadership experience in the group.

Ambitious and tenacious with a drive to encourage others to achieve success through mentoring and guidance, Peter began his career in the corrugated packaging industry in 2010 and went on to join the Management Team at Smurfit Kappa Beacon in 2014 prior to taking the helm at Birmingham in 2019.

Frank Hay

Frank Hay

Group Managing Director Board 24

Frank was appointed Group Managing Director at Board24 in April 2024

All three Board24 sites are within his remit; Coalville, Preston and Eurocentral. He was instrumental in delivering the Eurocentral project, which opened in February 2024, as part of his previous role as Group Technical Director.

After graduating from the University of Strathclyde and the University of Cambridge with degrees in Engineering, Frank joined the packaging industry and began to develop his career. He has worked in a number of roles including shift management, operations/commercial management, site management and ultimately held the position of Head of Engineering, looking after significant investments and projects, before he joined Logson Group in 2022.

Gareth Stell

Group Sales Director

Gareth joined Logson Group in 2006 and brings over 26 years industry experience, having held senior sales and MD roles, primarily within the UK sheet plant sector.

Gareth’s role covers all businesses with the group and he is instrumental in the development of long-term strategic relationships with our key customers. Personable, driven and unashamedly customer focused, Gareth ensures our business goals are intrinsically aligned to our customers’ success.

Andrew Pearson

Andrew Pearson

Group Technical Director

Andrew joined Logson Group in 2025 returning to the packaging sector after holding operational leadership roles in food and beverage, construction and building.

Andrew’s role will play a pivotal part in delivering the ongoing growth and success of the group and will focus on continually improving operational and technical expertise across all businesses within the group aligned with its long-term strategic objectives.
